What is Proxy-server?

A proxy-server (from the English "proxy" - the right to act on someone's behalf) is an intermediary server that makes requests to Internet resources on behalf of the user. When you use a proxy, sites see not your real IP address, but the IP address of the proxy server.
The main idea: A proxy server is an intermediate server between your device and the Internet. All your traffic does not go directly to the site, but first through it.

What is a port?
